Players can now master new techniques and parry with their bare hands.

In early October, Questline returned to the action RPG Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon to release update 1.30 alongside a free expansion called the Fists of Fury DLC.

Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon received new armor sets and items, as well as a questline where players are invited to master the combat techniques and philosophy of their mentor. The release of the Fists of Fury DLC also introduces the ability to use “fist weapons,” meaning players can fight with their bare hands. However, as the developers noted, “technically speaking, you will still have a weapon equipped.”

A new skill tree has been added for fist weapons. For instance, Weight of the Fist doubles status effect accumulation for unarmed attacks, while Patient Hand significantly widens the parry window when the player is not using a weapon. Hardening Resolve and Unbroken Flow provide additional benefits: “The longer your attack chain, the less damage you take and the less stamina each strike consumes.”

Additionally, the developers included FSR scaling options in the settings and added graphics presets for the Steam Deck: Quality (targeting 30 FPS) and Performance (targeting roughly 35 to 40 FPS).

The full patch notes for update 1.30 are available at the following link. The Steam page for the Fists of Fury DLC can be found here.
