British filmmaker Edgar Wright has revealed that the screenplay for Baby Driver 2 is already finished. It appears the picture is on the brink of entering production. Other specifics about the sequel are scarce; Wright noted that the new Baby Driver largely depends on “factors beyond anyone’s control.”
Recall that this autumn Wright’s latest project, The Running Man — an adaptation of Stephen King’s science‑fiction novel — is set to be released internationally. In addition, the director has already signed on to helm a Barbarella remake starring Sydney Sweeney in the lead role.
When Wright will actually turn his attention to Baby Driver 2 remains unclear.
