Tickets are officially on sale for Dune: Part Three ahead of its nationwide theatrical debut on Dec. 18. Moviegoers can choose between multiple presentation formats, including IMAX, standard 70mm, D-Box motion seating, Dolby Cinema, Premium Large Format, and 70mm IMAX.

Special early access Dune Insider screenings take place on Dec. 14 and Dec. 15, though seats are moving rapidly. The ticket rollout arrived alongside a fresh mini-trailer that shows Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet), Chani (Zendaya), and Princess Irulan (Florence Pugh) bracing for an escalating galactic war.

Demand follows a massive run for premium formats sparked earlier this year by The Odyssey, which became the highest-earning film in IMAX history, followed by strong numbers from Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Like those releases, Dune: Part Three will receive a rare 70mm IMAX rollout across 34 theaters in the United States. Audiences who caught The Odyssey in 70mm IMAX received an early preview of the film, which highlighted an intense battle sequence evoking sci-fi D-Day imagery.

Director Denis Villeneuve has stated that Dune: Part Three will serve as his final entry in the franchise. The storyline adapts Frank Herbert’s novel Dune Messiah, picking up years after the events of the previous chapter during a brutal interstellar conflict.

Villeneuve co-wrote the screenplay with comic book writer Brian K. Vaughan, known for Y: The Last Man, Ex Machina, and Saga. Hans Zimmer returns to provide the score, while Linus Sandgren (La La Land, First Man, Wuthering Heights) steps in as cinematographer, succeeding Greig Fraser.

The arrival of Dune: Part Three adds further strength to a historic theatrical run in 2026. Both The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day have crossed $1 billion globally and combined for the highest-grossing domestic weekend on record, putting the domestic box office on track to surpass $10 billion for the first time since 2019. With Part Three opening on the same day as Avengers: Doomsday, theaters are preparing for another massive box office weekend this December.
