Documentary film about Pyotr Mamonov to be released in Russia

The film distribution company Vereteno has announced the upcoming release of the documentary project “The Four Lives of Pyotr Mamonov,” slated for its premiere on October 22.

Directed by Pavel Lungin—known for his acclaimed works “Taxi Blues” and “The Island”—the film explores the transformative chapters in the life of the late musician and actor Pyotr Mamonov (1951–2021). The narrative tracks his evolution from the charismatic frontman of the band “Zvuki Mu” to a celebrated dramatic actor and profound Christian philosopher.

The documentary features contributions from prominent figures such as Sergey Shnurov, Viktor Sukhorukov, Victoria Isakova, and Evgeny Margulis, among others.
