Brennan Lee Mulligan is arguably the most prolific figure in the tabletop actual play industry today. While currently navigating the narrative waters as the Game Master for the fourth campaign of Critical Role, he is also preparing to unveil a brand-new chapter of Dimension 20, scheduled to premiere on January 7, 2026.
The upcoming season, Dimension 20: Gladlands, is set against the backdrop of a scorched, post-apocalyptic wasteland reminiscent of Mad Max. However, as the title implies, this world isn’t defined solely by grit and despair. According to a recent press release, the survivors of this fractured reality “turn to community and kindness for survival.” The trailer reinforces this optimistic twist with a charming tagline: “The world might have ended but manners didn’t!” Expect a landscape where social etiquette remains as vital as a full canteen of water.
Mulligan will lead a diverse party composed of six beloved Dropout stars. Veteran “Intrepid Heroes” Ally Beardsley and Zac Oyama return to their familiar seats in the dome, joined by Oscar Montoya and Jacob Wysocki, who previously appeared in A Court of Fey and Flowers and Never Stop Blowing Up. Making their highly anticipated series debuts are Kimia Behpoornia and Vic Michaelis, the latter of whom is often jokingly referred to as the honorary Dropout president.
Gladlands represents the 27th campaign for the Dimension 20 anthology since its 2018 debut with Fantasy High. The season kicks off on January 7, with new episodes releasing every Wednesday for six weeks. Consistent with previous installments, the companion talk-back series Adventuring Party will follow each episode on Thursdays, providing deeper insight into the party’s post-apocalyptic journey.
