War of the Worlds: Siberia has received its 14th developer diary, which focuses on historical firearm shooting, the combat system, and 19th-century costumes.

Joined by actress Alexandra Milyoshina and gaming vlogger Alexey Lutsay, the War of the Worlds: Siberia team visited the Garrison-Film film studio to test weapons from the game and try on historical costumes.

The video covers the Double Derringer, Smith & Wesson and Nagant revolvers, a double-barreled shotgun, the Mosin rifle, the Baranovsky gun, and the Maxim machine gun. Game designer Georgy Mironov explained the principles of the combat system and weapon balance. For example, the Smith & Wesson requires manual cocking before firing, whereas the Nagant can be fired immediately upon pulling the trigger, though it takes longer to reload.
