Barker was recently confirmed as the writer and director tasked with reimagining this iconic slasher franchise.
“I have a deep, profound appreciation for the original film, but I intend to craft something distinct. While I don’t plan to stray too far from the source material, my goal is to elevate it. My take will focus intensely on the deeply unsettling dynamics within the killer’s family. I want to fully capture the terror festering inside Leatherface’s home. I believe there is immense potential in this approach,”
