Days Gone Remastered Gets Power‑Saving Mode on PS5
Bend Studio has revisited its title with a refreshed edition. Days Gone Remastered — an overhauled version of the moody PlayStation title — has just received another update.
The latest patch introduces support for a Power Saver mode on PS5 and PS5 Pro consoles. Released alongside a PlayStation system update, this option reduces power draw. While it aligns with Sony’s environmental goals, it also lowers system performance — players may observe reduced frame rates and resolution. The setting can be toggled per game through the console’s system settings.
Sony is trialing Power Saver not only to cut energy usage but also with an eye on PlayStation’s future. The mode is expected to underpin a rumored portable iteration of the console currently said to be in development, as it helps evaluate how games perform on hardware with reduced processing capacity.
