On Saturday, May 23, the 10th annual Crunchyroll Anime Awards took place in Tokyo, spotlighting the very best in Japanese animation as chosen by fans worldwide. This milestone anniversary underscored a monumental year for the industry, with standout hits like Dan Da Dan and The Apothecary Diaries dominating the conversation. Notably, Dan Da Dan secured an impressive 20 nominations across a dozen distinct categories.

Feature-length animation also enjoyed a strong showing, led by the 13 nominations for Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc. Ultimately, the global phenomenon Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle claimed the prestigious Film of the Year title.

The ceremony, hosted at the Grand Prince Hotel Shin Takanawa, saw the My Hero Academia Final Season take home the coveted Anime of the Year award, while the breakout hit Gachiakuta was honored as Best New Series. A star-studded lineup of presenters, including actor Winston Duke, RZA of the Wu-Tang Clan, The Weeknd, and singer Hannah Bahng, graced the stage to honor the winners. The Global Impact Award was posthumously presented to the late director Tatsuya Nagamine, who passed in 2025.
