Modders Convert Diablo II Resurrected into Virtual Reality First Person Game
Players will soon be able to experience a classic title from an entirely different perspective.
An enthusiast known as Fantastic-Author2736 has shared their work on a VR mode for Diablo II: Resurrected that allows players to embark on adventures from a first-person perspective.
I made a VR mod for Diablo II: Resurrected: first-person view, true stereo 3D, and your hands are bound to motion controllers. The hero’s body rotates with you.
The developer also noted that movement can be handled via a thumbstick or physically using BodyWalk.
In the description, the creator explained that the mod is built upon the “D2R-3D camera mod” created by emmericp and operates through FlatVR and BodyWalk.
D2R-3D is a modification for Diablo II: Resurrected recently introduced by emmericp. It enables players to switch to a first-person view, which can make the gameplay resemble a shooter, or use a third-person camera.
Fantastic-Author2736 is not yet ready to publish a playable build because several items need to be finished before a full release.

Currently, Blizzard Entertainment is working on Diablo V.
