Fan creates 3D first-person version of Terraria
Players can now test an early version of an ambitious project.
Developer Eastern-Willow214 recently announced the release of an early build for a Terraria modification that brings the game into three dimensions.
Eastern-Willow214 decided to publish the “Terraria Unbound” project on tModLoader now so that everyone interested can try it out and share feedback:
Explore a fully three-dimensional infinite Terraria world, with a world height of 2,300 blocks. Resource gathering, building, exploration, and combat have all been adapted for 3D.
Multiplayer is available in the current version of the “Terraria Unbound” modification, but it currently holds an experimental status as well because large-scale testing has not yet been conducted.
The developer warned that players might encounter errors during gameplay:
This is NOT a finished mod. Expect bugs, compatibility issues, unfinished content, and potentially very questionable physics. I am releasing it primarily to gather feedback, discover bugs, and see how the game runs for others.
The “Terraria Unbound” modification is distributed through the Steam Workshop, and players need to subscribe to install it for free. The developer noted that they plan to implement support for popular Terraria mods in the future, including Thorium and Calamity.
