Crimson Desert Fan Concept Imagines Dynamic Seasons Based on Game Progress
Seasons bring visual changes while also affecting weather and temperature.
Modder Khione95 recently released a modification for Crimson Desert Enhanced that introduces a full-fledged season system to Pywel. The four seasons follow the in-game calendar and change on the fly.
Trees, grass, and the landscape change accordingly. Winter brings snow and genuine cold, as the time of year also impacts temperature. In addition, each season features distinct weather patterns; for example, autumn rain has a 50% chance of occurring, compared to 30% in spring, and the duration of precipitation varies.
The in-game year starts with summer, and seasons last 30 days by default, though players can select 3, 7, 14, 45, 60, or 90 days via a special menu.
Summer temperatures are 4 degrees higher than in the base game. Spring is 6 degrees colder, autumn is 8 degrees colder, and winter is 24 degrees colder. However, the developer specified that it will be “cold, but not lethally so”:
The remote northern snowy mountain region retains the original cold from the base game. Days are warmer than nights, and you can still warm up by the fire.
The “Seasons of Pywel” mod for Crimson Desert Enhanced is available for free via Nexus Mods.
Developer Pearl Abyss is currently working on the Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown expansion. You can add the DLC to your Steam wishlist via the following link — the release will take place a little later than originally expected.
