Creative Assembly’s Total War Series Heads to PlayStation and Xbox

Creative Assembly has announced that the Total War series — famed for its sprawling real-time battles and deep strategic systems — is coming to consoles on a new engine named Warcore.

Warcore clears the path for forthcoming Total War entries on PlayStation and Xbox, bringing the scale, nuance, and tactical refinement expected by a new generation of commanders.

The Total War franchise has spanned 25 years, from Medieval: Total War to the Total War: Warhammer trilogy. Until now, the series’ sole console release was the spin-off Spartan: Total Warrior on PS2, Xbox and GameCube.

The PC platform remains central to our design philosophy. We consult seasoned Total War players to make sure new entries stay immersive, authentic, and tactically rich.
