Counter-Strike 2 Bans Planting the Bomb While Standing on a Teammate’s Head, Launches Prediction Season for Budapest Major 2025
Players can try to predict event outcomes and claim a commemorative reward.
Valve recently issued an update for Counter-Strike 2 that includes several technical tweaks and introduced the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 Spectator Pass.
As usual, purchasers of the pass will be able to submit predictions and upgrade the tournament’s collectible coin.
Community members, including Ash’s Playbook, are already sharing their forecasts.
The Counter-Strike 2 developers noted they fixed an issue that allowed planting the C4 while standing on a teammate.
Other changes include:
· Increased the default render distance for bullet tracers.
· Glove models and animations in the UI and inventory now use Animgraph2 — matching the first-person gameplay view.
· The bomb model in first-person view now features a blinking light.
· The color scheme for Counter-Strike items in the inventory and on the Steam Marketplace has been updated to match item quality colors.
· Improved performance.
