Garage51 showed a new gameplay trailer for CORDURA, a co-op survival horror game for 1-4 players. The project is planned for Steam and PlayStation 5.

The trailer focuses on the core idea of CORDURA: players enter corrupted Victorian buildings, search for Roses of the Night and try to leave before the mansion breaks the group apart. The setting is built around proximity voice chat, darkness and the fear of trusting the wrong teammate.

The Mimic System listens to the team

The main hook is the Mimic System. According to Garage51, the Night can copy players’ voices and appearances. In practice, a teammate calling from the next room may be a friend, or a trap using a familiar voice to split the group.

Garage51 says the team wanted to move away from scripted jumpscares and lean into paranoia. Silence can keep players hidden, but a squad that stops talking will struggle to coordinate.

Procedural mansions and permanent losses

Each run sends workers into procedural labyrinths shaped by corrupted buildings. The rooms can shift, so the route used to enter may not be available on the way out.

CORDURA also uses permanent stakes. If a worker dies, the character and equipment are lost unless the remaining players risk a rescue to recover the body. Dynamic difficulty adjusts the threat for solo players and groups of up to four.

The story follows workers sent to collect Roses of the Night, a source of Ambrosia valued by the aristocracy. Garage51 describes the world as a distorted Victorian era where science crossed a boundary with the Night, and the Night came back to claim what belongs to it.

CORDURA is in development for Steam and PlayStation 5. The new gameplay trailer is available now, and the press materials include links to the Steam page, PlayStation Store page and official press kit.
