Dylan Faden showcasing supernatural powers in Control Resonant

Control Resonant marks the newest chapter in Remedy’s interconnected supernatural mythos, pivoting from the series’ established third-person shooting toward a more visceral, close-quarters combat style. Today’s reveal provided a compelling look at how this evolution feels in practice.

Debuting during Sony’s latest State of Play, the gameplay footage centers on Dylan Faden, the franchise’s new protagonist. Armed with formidable otherworldly abilities, Dylan is shown telekinetically hurling adversaries into the abyss as the very architecture of the level warps and contorts around him.

The action is remarkably fluid, blending kinetic strikes with a metamorphic weapon and gravity-defying maneuvers that allow Dylan to shift his personal orientation mid-air. This high-speed agility was put to the test in a climactic boss encounter, featuring acrobatic aerial dodges and precision strikes against a massive, imposing foe.

While a specific launch date remains unconfirmed, Remedy Entertainment has reaffirmed that they are targeting a 2026 release.
