China’s homegrown alternative to Western graphics processors is finally stepping into the light. The Lisuan G100 series, engineered to challenge the dominance of NVIDIA and AMD, has officially begun shipping to its inaugural customers.
While a full-scale retail launch remains on the horizon, the revealed technical specifications and feature set confirm that this project has transitioned from a conceptual prototype to a tangible, market-ready product.
Historically, Chinese GPU ventures were often synonymous with ambitious announcements followed by lackluster real-world results, but this release tells a different story. The Lisuan 7G106 model, a key player in the G100 lineup, is manufactured using TSMC’s 6nm (N6) process node. Although it doesn’t represent the bleeding edge of 2025 technology, it packs enough performance to compete with mainstream mid-range cards, specifically targeting the “60-series” segments of Western competitors. According to reports from ITHome, the first production batches have already cleared the factory floor.
At this stage, the cards are not being marketed toward the gaming community. Initial shipments are earmarked for the professional sector, catering specifically to clients involved in “digital twin” technology and industrial simulations. Mass production officially kicked off in September 2025, with a consumer retail debut in China anticipated for the first quarter of 2026.
Under the hood, the Lisuan 7G106 features 12 GB of GDDR6 memory across a 192-bit bus, utilizing a PCIe 4.0 x16 interface. The architecture includes 192 TMUs and 96 ROPs, with a rated TDP of 225W powered by a single 8-pin connector. Furthermore, the company has introduced its proprietary NRSS upscaling technology—positioned as a direct rival to NVIDIA’s DLSS and AMD’s FSR—along with potential native support for Windows on ARM.
Preliminary benchmarking suggests that the Lisuan 7G106 delivers performance on par with mid-tier offerings from AMD and NVIDIA, establishing it as one of the most viable and competitive hardware options currently emerging within the domestic Chinese market.
