CDPR Advises The Witcher 3 Players Following Technical Issues With Next-Gen Update
In some places, the hit game by CD Projekt RED has changed dramatically, but this was not intended by the developers.
The remaster of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has recently been released. CD Projekt RED introduced a mass of gameplay improvements and also updated the graphics. Players started exploring the content, and some users began observing various bugs where the visuals clearly display incorrectly.
One of the clearest examples was a post by a user under the nickname heyjusdoit, who found that Geralt simply turned black during the playthrough.

Some users who managed to play The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered also reported that textures started disappearing for them, and in a number of cases models can begin to flicker. For example, AMD graphics card owner NilkkiHiiri1 encountered this issue.
Community members recalled advice from CD Projekt RED support: “Before diving into The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered, make sure your graphics drivers have been updated to the recommended version.”
They indicated the following driver versions for different graphics cards:
- NVIDIA: 617.14
- AMD: 26.9.2
- Intel: 32.0.101.8993
heyjusdoit confirmed that after installing the new driver for AMD, “my Geralt has become white again.” This update also helps resolve the texture issue.
