Capcom Spotlight to Showcase New Monster Hunter and Mega Man News
Capcom, the veteran developer and publisher behind the acclaimed Resident Evil Requiem, has officially scheduled its next “Capcom Spotlight” digital event for March 5. Following the successful launch of their latest survival-horror masterpiece, the company is now pivoting its attention toward an eclectic slate of upcoming projects, including the enigmatic sci-fi title Pragmata and the RPG sequel Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection.
The first Capcom Spotlight broadcast of 2026 is set to air on Thursday, March 5, at 2 p.m. PST / 5 p.m. EST. The presentation is expected to deliver a packed 30-minute briefing on the publisher’s near-term roadmap.
Alongside the imminent releases of Monster Hunter Stories 3 (arriving March 13) and Pragmata (slated for April 24), Capcom has confirmed that fans will receive fresh updates regarding Street Fighter 6, the Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection, and the recently unveiled Mega Man: Dual Override.
In the world of Street Fighter 6, the fan-favorite grappler Alex is prepared to enter the ring on March 17. The Street Fighter 3: New Generation veteran marks the third arrival in the Year 3 Character Pass, joining a prestigious roster that includes Sagat, C. Viper, and the upcoming Ingrid. In a notable crossover of industries, Alex’s animations were brought to life through motion-capture work by professional wrestling superstar Kenny Omega.
For those seeking a nostalgic trip through the handheld RPG era, the Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection debuts on March 27. This comprehensive anthology bundles seven classic titles from the spinoff series:
- Mega Man Star Force: Pegasus
- Mega Man Star Force: Leo
- Mega Man Star Force: Dragon
- Mega Man Star Force 2: Zerker x Ninja
- Mega Man Star Force 2: Zerker x Saurian
- Mega Man Star Force 3: Black Ace
- Mega Man Star Force 3: Red Joker
Lastly, the showcase is expected to provide more insight into Mega Man: Dual Override. Originally announced during The Game Awards 2025, this 12th mainline entry is positioned as the centerpiece for the Blue Bomber’s 40th anniversary in 2027. The title is scheduled for a broad multi-platform launch, including the Nintendo Switch, the next-generation Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC via Steam, and the Xbox Series X|S family. Enthusiasts are hopeful that this Spotlight will finally pull back the curtain on the gameplay mechanics defining this next chapter.
