Capcom Assures Resident Evil Requiem Will Be Well Optimized
The company also expects players and critics to embrace the new horror entry.
Capcom published a set of answers to investors’ most pressing questions, revealing that the company anticipates Resident Evil Requiem will outsell Resident Evil Village.
It’s worth noting that Village moved more than three million copies within its first four days after launching in 2021, and its total sales have now exceeded 12 million copies.
The company also assured that Requiem will be well optimized and will not encounter the same launch issues experienced by Monster Hunter Wilds.
Resident Evil Requiem diverges from Monster Hunter Wilds in gameplay, core system architecture, and online functionality. At present we do not foresee comparable risks and are working to deliver a smooth experience across a wide range of PC configurations.
Resident Evil Requiem will launch on February 27, 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
