Canadian Factory to Shut Down Due to GTA VI — Employees Plan to Explore Vice City
Many employees will spend several days in Vice City.
The release of Grand Theft Auto VI is a major event. Dedicated fans prepare for the launch well in advance. Many working gamers are already requesting vacation time or planning personal leave for November.
These employees often make up a large portion of a team, which threatens to bring operations to a halt. Another company recently gained attention by announcing it will pause business during the game’s release window.
The Canadian firm Edison Motors will suspend its operations on Thursday, November 19, and Friday, November 20, 2026.
Edison Motors expects to resume normal business hours after its staff spends the weekend stealing cars, evading the police, managing shady business deals, and causing chaos throughout Vice City.
Grand Theft Auto VI arrives in November for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The developers have not yet announced a release date for the PC version.
