Two Skyrim-Themed Elder Scrolls Online Add-Ons Now Free in Base Game
Bethesda has launched Season 2 of The Elder Scrolls Online – Echoes of Skyrim. The season adds about 30 hours of free content and opens up add-ons that were previously paid.
ZeniMax Online and Bethesda built the update around the snowy province of Skyrim. Players can already claim the Greymoor chapter and the Wolfhunter DLC for free, and both are now part of the base game.
Season 2 runs until January 27, 2027. Bethesda said in a statement:
All new gameplay features in Season 2 are free for all ESO players (no purchase required). The new season also includes the Book of Tamriel, which contains both free and paid (premium) features.
The Markarth DLC arrives on November 9 as a free release and will also join the base game. It concludes the Dark Heart storyline and the Skyrim saga in ESO. A new PvP season is also coming.
In January, the developers will update the interface and add a new mini-map, companions, and more options for customizing them.
