Key visual for the tactical radio adventure game Burn-9

Burn-9 offers a unique twist on the tactical espionage genre. Heavily inspired by the Metal Gear Solid series, this narrative adventure shifts the perspective from the soldier in the field to the operator behind the radio. Recently unveiled during the Story-Rich Showcase by Fellow Traveler—the team behind Citizen Sleeper—this title is slated for release later this year.

Billed as a “Tactical Radio Action” game, Burn-9 drops you into the shoes of a communications expert tasked with guiding the sole survivor of an elite black-ops squad following a disastrous mission. While the agent on the ground faces immediate, lethal peril, you must maintain your composure from the safety of your command console, serving as the agent’s only link to the outside world.

The story follows an attempted operation at a top-secret Antarctic military facility. When a team of cybernetically enhanced operatives is sent to secure the mysterious “Burn-9,” their transport is decimated in the opening minutes of the mission. You are the only person left who can guide the final survivor through the frozen wreckage.

As the primary handler, you will constantly grapple with the conflicting demands of military command and the brutal reality on the ground. Every piece of intelligence you possess requires a split-second decision: what information do you relay, what do you withhold, and who can you truly trust in a situation spiraling out of control?

Burn-9 is scheduled to launch on PC in 2026. You can support the development team by adding the game to your Steam wishlist here.
