New Naruto Mini-Series Announced With Details Coming Soon

VIZ Media has announced a new television mini-series based on Naruto. The first details will be revealed on October 10 at New York Comic Con, which is Naruto Uzumaki’s birthday.

Previously, VIZ Media also promised to share information about a new animated film in the franchise.

The new announcement has caused some confusion. In an earlier press release referenced by Hollywood publications, including Variety, the company promised to show the first footage and share details of a new animated film, as well as talk about the Naruto Card Game.

No mini-series appeared in the original schedule. It remains unclear whether VIZ Media changed the format of the previously announced feature-length project or if fans are genuinely getting two new releases.

Additional confusion stems from four anniversary Naruto episodes that VIZ Media originally planned to release back in September 2023. At that time, the premiere was postponed to improve quality, and a new date has not been announced since. It is still unknown whether these episodes are connected to the mini-series or the animated film.

The situation should become clearer during the presentation itself, which will be broadcast on YouTube, among other platforms. The stream starts on October 11 at 00:00 Moscow time.
