Bloodborne PC performance doubled — shadPS4 emulator update 0.12.6 released
Tech enthusiasts are steadily enhancing the software that enables PlayStation games to run on PC.
The PlayStation 4 emulator “shadPS4” recently received an update to version 0.12.6. Shortly thereafter, online tests of a well-known FromSoftware title began to appear.
The creator behind the ProteinGaming YouTube channel performed a side-by-side comparison of the new 0.12.6 release against the previous 0.12.5 using Bloodborne as the benchmark.
During his playthrough he demonstrated that, in several situations, Bloodborne’s frame rate can increase up to twofold.
Other projects have shown noticeable improvements as well. Driveclub is broadly playable now (although some problematic areas remain), and God of War 3 Remastered is in a comparable state.
