This week, fans of Warhammer 40,000 fiction can pre-order the novel The Relentless Dead, the novella Da Red Gobbo’s Last Stand, and several anthologies — plus Chaos-themed miniature kits will be released.
On October 25, Games Workshop will open pre-orders not only for new Ultramarines releases in the Warhammer 40,000 tabletop range. Collectors will also be able to buy a Dark Eldar Cabal Archon miniature and a Red Gobbo model.
Several Chaos-focused kits are moving over from Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team. The reboxed “Chaos Space Marine Legionaries” set will include 10 Traitor Astartes with 18 head options, 22 interchangeable shoulder pads, a variety of special and heavy weapons, and a Chaos Space Marine decal sheet.
The “Traitor Guardsmen” kit contains 10 figures, including parts to build a squad Sergeant with a chain-sword, a close-combat weapon, or a power sword. Traitors can be equipped with one of the following weapons: a grenade launcher, a sniper rifle, a plasma cannon, a meltagun, or a flamethrower.
There’s also a set featuring a Traitor Enforcer reminiscent of a Commissar and a Chaos Ogryn. Fans can pre-order Steve Lyons’ novel The Relentless Dead, which focuses on the Death Korps of Krieg.
The book will be released in hardcover, ebook, and audiobook formats, and as a dark special edition that includes the short story “The Forge.” That special edition sports a sleek monochrome canvas-effect cover, dyed page edges, and a brown ribbon bookmark printed with barbed wire.
The novella Da Red Gobbo’s Last Stand by Andy Ivington will be available in hardcover and digital editions; it follows a grot named Bodgit as he fights to survive inside the hull of a space hulk.
A paperback titled Da Red Gobbo Collection will collect several Gobbo tales: Da Gobbo’s Revenge by Mike Brooks; Da Gobbo’s Demise and the short story Da Wrong Type of Green by Danny Flowers; and Da Gobbo Rides Again plus the short story The Instigator by Ruarid James.
You’ll also be able to buy Death and Duty — a collection of 12 frontline stories from various Black Library authors, which includes three new pieces: The Redoubt by John Sollitto, Resounding by Russell Zimmerman, and Worm of Valhalla by Tom R. Pike.
Death and Duty will be available in paperback, ebook, and audiobook formats. Paperback editions of Double Eagle and Interceptor City will also be offered.
Additionally, the anthology No Peace Among Stars can be pre-ordered in paperback and ebook. It features 16 stories centered on Space Marines, the Astra Militarum, and the Adeptus Mechanicus. These releases are expected to arrive in stores on November 8, 2025.
