In the coming months, enthusiasts of Warhammer 40,000, Age of Sigmar, and The Old World will have the chance to secure a new edition of Horus Rising, the novels Ghazghkull Thraka: Warlord of Warlords and Chem Dog, the anthology Grombrindal: The Legend of the White Dwarf, and several other highly anticipated titles.
Games Workshop and Black Library have revealed a diverse lineup of literature that will be available for pre-order starting March 14, 2026.
Fans will have the opportunity to acquire a stunning re-release of Dan Abnett’s Horus Rising. As the opening volume of the monumental Horus Heresy saga, this story chronicles the start of the galactic civil war that brought the human race to the edge of ruin. The book returns in a hardcover format, complemented by four internal illustrations.
A premium collector’s edition will also be available, featuring a faux-leather cover with gold foil stamping, an inlaid metal medallion, gilded page edges, and a brown ribbon bookmark. This version includes additional artwork, four black-and-white illustrations, a full-color fold-out cover, and a detailed map of the galaxy.
Also joining the lineup is Ghazghkull Thraka: Warlord of Warlords by Denny Flowers. The narrative follows Slitta da Stabba, a Blood Axe warboss caught between treacherous allies and the zeal of the Black Templars. He must navigate a path to survival while his own Orks begin to wonder if the time has come to challenge the supreme rule of Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka.
This novel will be released in hardcover and digital formats. Additionally, a Special Edition will be offered; each copy is uniquely numbered, signed by the author, and features a soft-touch embossed cover, blackened page edges, an author’s afterword, and a vibrant Ork-green ribbon bookmark.
Astra Militarum fans can look forward to Chem Dog by Callum Davis. The story depicts a newly commissioned Commissar who is thrust into a high-stakes mission alongside a notorious penal regiment within a dangerous, Ork-infested warzone.
The collection Grombrindal: The Legend of the White Dwarf will also be available, featuring a novella and seven short stories centered on the legendary white-bearded duardin, written by a variety of Black Library authors.
Furthermore, an illustrated and annotated version of Robert Rath’s The Infinite and the Divine will be released, along with an anniversary edition of James Swallow’s Faith and Fire. Fans of the Greenskins can also pick up The Green Tide, a paperback compilation featuring two novels, two novellas, and four short stories focused on Ork-kind.
Returning in paperback is Steve Parker’s Deathwatch, alongside Gav Thorpe’s The Grudge Bearer. Additionally, readers can grab the Black Library Celebration 2026 anthology, which highlights five compelling tales from the diverse settings of Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar.
