Deadline reports that Oscar winner Benicio Del Toro is joining forces with Charlie’s Angels alum Cameron Diaz on a new film.
Grant Singer, director and co-writer of Reptile, will write and helm the untitled thriller. Production is slated to take place in Los Angeles; plot details are being kept under wraps.
Del Toro most recently appeared in Paul Thomas Anderson’s Battle for Battle and in Wes Anderson’s The Phoenician Scheme. Diaz returned to the screen after a decade-long break with the Netflix action film Back in Action. The two actors briefly collaborated previously on Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998).
