Battlefield 6 players can finally breathe easier — the developers have removed the contentious requirement tied to the REDSEC mode.
REDSEC was envisioned as a major new mode, promising a level of variety comparable to Battlefield 6 itself. At first the project looked promising, especially for series fans who were offered free access. However, even players who didn’t want to engage with the battle-royale mode found themselves nudged toward it — many challenges and tasks revolved around REDSEC. That situation has now changed.
In a recent statement, the developers confirmed they have revised the mission system. Players who prefer the classic Battlefield 6 experience will no longer receive missions tied to REDSEC.
The studio listened to the community and removed one of the most aggravating features introduced by recent updates.
