Battlefield 6 Offers to Delete the Story Campaign After Completion to Free Up Disk Space

Battlefield 6 has been available on PC and consoles for a few days. Last weekend was enough for many players to complete the story campaign and move straight into online matches. The developers openly say the campaign functions as a tutorial for multiplayer, so there’s little reason to return to it once it’s finished.

The game launched on Friday and, despite some early issues, generated strong interest from the community. DICE welcomed both long-time and new fans and worked to make the shift into online combat as seamless and comfortable as possible — multiplayer remains the series’ core.

Before release there were rumors that players would be able to control not only performance settings but also the amount of installed content by selecting specific modules. That capability has now been officially confirmed.

The team recognized that modern titles require substantial storage and added an option to remove the campaign after completion. If a player has already finished the Dagger 13 storyline and does not plan to return, the game can offer to delete the single-player module to free up space. Individual missions can still be replayed if you want to finish outstanding objectives.
