Battlefield 6 – Anti-Cheat Metrics – June

Comment Views: 1

Greetings Soldier,

June defined the core of Season 3, offering invaluable insights as our inaugural Ranked Season.

Following the May update, the Match Infection Rate (MIR) began June at 5.09% before stabilizing at 5.52%. For a deeper breakdown of the mechanics driving these fluctuations, please revisit our January update.

As previously announced, the upcoming enforcement of TPM 2.0 is imminent, and our preliminary warning system has been active for several weeks. Our primary objective is ensuring the community has ample time to resolve compatibility issues before we officially block malicious actors from exploiting this vector. Expect this transition to take effect within the next few weeks. For assistance, consult the official TPM 2.0 troubleshooting guide. Thank you for partnering with us to safeguard the integrity of the Battlefield.

June: Results & Impact

June Anticheat Metrics Chart

Match Infection Rate (MIR): The proportion of matches across the entire game negatively affected by at least one cheater. This metric encompasses all suspected offenders, including those lacking sufficient telemetry for immediate disciplinary action.

MIR commenced in June at 5.52%, gradually rising to an initial peak of 6.37% on the 11th. Following a minor downward trend mid-month, the rate climbed steadily from 5.88% on the 24th, closing out June at 6.59%.

Minimizing collateral disruption for legitimate players during the TPM 2.0 rollout remains a top priority. Naturally, this cautious approach introduces a calculated trade-off, allowing the MIR to rise slightly during the grace period. Once enforcement goes live to permanently close this exploit for bad actors, we anticipate a substantial positive shift and the subsequent deployment of advanced detection methods.

Furthermore, we are expanding our blacklist of prohibited hardware and software, introducing new automated blocks, warnings, and penalties ahead of Season 4. Insights gathered throughout Season 3 highlighted emerging exploits that compromise competitive integrity, prompting a comprehensive policy re-evaluation. Stay tuned for a dedicated Season 4 Anticheat Briefing.

Throughout June, EA Javelin Anti-Cheat successfully intercepted 226,592 unauthorized tampering attempts before they could infiltrate live matches. We are currently actively monitoring 112 (+2) distinct cheat developers, hardware bypasses, vendors, resellers, and their respective networks. Of these, 107 (+6) are experiencing severe disruptions, persistent detection warnings, server downtime, or have completely ceased operations—representing a 95.53% disruption rate.

Play fair, keep your boots on the ground, and see you on the Battlefield.
