Battlefield x Dead Space Crossover Event: A Guide to the New Nightmares
Something has gone terribly wrong at Area 51.
Pax Armata troops showed up expecting to seize classified technology. What they found instead was one of the base’s most closely guarded secrets: a Marker, hidden inside the facility the whole time.
Within days, the reports began flooding in. Soldiers spoke of violent hallucinations, eerie symbols appearing across the base, and whole units turning their weapons on each other. Whatever lay buried beneath Area 51 was never dormant. It had been biding its time.
From October 20, Dead Space comes to Battlefield 6 with Dead Space: Convergence, a limited-time Halloween event. Its centerpiece is Marker Incursion, a new 16-player PvE mode. Squads fight through corrupted ground, destroy Marker Shrines, and race to break the Marker’s grip before it sets off a catastrophic event known as Convergence.
Consider this your official briefing on the nightmare taking shape in Dead Space: Convergence.
A CLOSER LOOK AT MARKER INCURSION
The further you push into corrupted territory, the more punishing the fight becomes.
Marked Soldiers are the most common threat. These former military personnel have fallen under the Marker’s influence. They perceive the battlefield through a warped lens, treating allies as enemies and defending the object of their obsession at any cost.
As your squad advances, you’ll also come across Marker Shrines. These smaller replicas are built by people affected by the signal. They tighten the Marker’s hold on an area and draw in even more resistance. Tearing them down is essential for keeping your momentum and slowing the corruption’s spread.
Survive the onslaught, destroy the Shrines, and press on toward the source. Every mission serves one goal: stop Convergence before the damage can’t be undone.
TAKE UP THE DS-23 PULSE RIFLE
A Dead Space crossover wouldn’t feel complete without the DS-23 Pulse Rifle.
The iconic weapon makes its Battlefield debut during the event as a Battle Pick-Up in Marker Incursion. Longtime Dead Space fans will recognize its distinctive look and rapid fire right away.
UNLOCK DEAD SPACE-INSPIRED REWARDS

Completing event challenges earns you a range of Dead Space-inspired rewards, including:
Aegis VII Soldier Skin
RIG-Certified SMG Weapon Skin
Dead Space Weapon Stickers
Soldier Patches
Player Card Backgrounds
Additional Event Rewards
Dead Space-Themed Store Bundles
The Aegis VII Soldier Skin leads the lineup. It draws on the industrial engineering suits that became synonymous with the Dead Space series.
Stay alert as you work through the challenges. Strange transmissions, hidden references, and bits of environmental storytelling are scattered throughout the event. Longtime fans may spot familiar details, while newcomers can piece the mystery together as they play.
