Casino Heist Content
European Casino
Battlefield 6’s newest map sends squads into a European-style resort on the Las Vegas Strip for nighttime, infantry-only combat. Battles shift rapidly between open courtyards, crowded casino floors, and narrow corridors, with destruction creating new opportunities at every turn.
Blast through breakable walls to open a flank, take a break in the lazy river, or bring down the towering centerpiece to permanently reshape the battlefield.
Fans of the close-quarters combat found in maps such as Operation Metro can expect a similar back-and-forth flow, enhanced by Battlefield 6’s tactical destruction.
Casino Heist Event
The limited-time Casino Heist event launches across Battlefield 6 and REDSEC. Defeated enemies drop Contracts that offer extra match objectives, from capturing points and reviving teammates to exploring the European Casino map.*
Complete Contracts to earn DOUGH, the event currency, and exchange it for cosmetics including weapon packages, vehicle skins, and new Heist Mask soldier skins. Unlock every standard reward on the track to reveal a final challenge with an additional completion reward. A dedicated event guide will provide the full details.

New Hardware
Phase 2 introduces three additions designed for different squad roles and combat situations.
The NSW4 Carbine is built for close-quarters encounters, offering quick handling and subsonic rounds by default, with a unique supersonic ammunition option also available. For defensive support, the deployable ADS-17 6GHz Signal Jammer disrupts enemy radar and substantially reduces the distance over which opponents can share active spotting information.
On the streets, the M142 MRAS provides powerful indirect fire from a fast, highly mobile truck.
Gameplay Updates
Following the launch of Season 5, the team released several hotfixes to address stability problems, combat bugs, and server inconsistencies. Player feedback and gameplay data will continue to inform improvements to core systems.
Weapon Changes
Weapon balance ranked among the community’s most requested areas for improvement in recent surveys. The upcoming adjustments aim to give weapon types clearer roles while addressing frequently used configurations.
- Extended magazine trade-offs: High-capacity extended magazines for the SCW-10 and KV9 will receive handling penalties, making players weigh sustained fire against weapon agility.
- More magazine choices: Additional capacities and feeding options are coming to several weapon categories, including select LMGs and shotguns.
- Buffs for overlooked attachments: Several less-used muzzle and magazine attachments, including the Flared Magwell and Frangible Ammo, are planned to receive improvements.
- M44 attachments: The team is testing requested custom optics for the M44, including the possibility of fitting an 8x scope to the powerful sidearm.
Full details on these changes will be shared in the Update Notes before the patch arrives.
Multiplayer Leaderboards
Phase 2 introduces dedicated Multiplayer Leaderboards, allowing players to compare their standing with the wider community. Separate tabs will cover Career, Game Modes, and Classes.
The leaderboards are seasonal, with a filter for comparing results from Season 5 onward. A Sticky Player Row will keep your overall position visible in any category or season, even if you have yet to reach the top ranks.
REDSEC Updates
Season 5 introduced Rapid Royale, a faster-paced Battle Royale mode built around aggressive, close-quarters encounters. The team has been reviewing player feedback and match data from its opening weeks.
Proximity chat will be added to Rapid Royale in the upcoming patch. Player feedback will help guide further improvements as the feature’s use expands across the game.
The update also revises the in-game HUD and objective text to make active Battle Royale Contracts and missions easier to follow. Expect clearer timers, improved indicators, and more noticeable objective notifications. Further details will appear in the Update Notes.

Vehicle and Game Audio
After the vehicle handling and tuning changes introduced at the start of the season, the team continues to review community feedback and gameplay data. Vehicle survival times, engagement win rates, and armor turnover across all modes are being monitored before any further tuning decisions are made.
Community surveys conducted before Season 5 also identified game audio as a major concern. The previous update introduced initial improvements to footsteps, and although the response has been encouraging, work on remaining audio inconsistencies will continue.
Portal Updates
More Control Over Custom AI
Portal creators can select a specific skin variation when spawning a Custom Portal Bot with the SpawnAIFromAISpawner action. The six existing class-specific skins are now available individually instead of being selected at random.
A seventh option, the Marked Soldier, is also being added. First seen in the Halloween experience, this bloodied and scarred soldier can now appear in custom Portal experiences.
Necromorphs, Shadows, and Atmospheric Audio
New Portal effects include visuals and sounds drawn from the Halloween Dead Space experience.
NecromorphEffects can transform soldiers into Necromorphs without restricting the effect to bots or a particular team. ShadowSilhouette turns a soldier completely black and can be used on its own or combined with the Necromorph effect.
Creators can also make individual players hear whispers, monster sounds, an eerie ambient drone, or simulated footsteps and gunfire. Because only the affected player hears these sounds, they can be used for warnings, hallucinations, misdirection, and other custom scenarios.

10 New Screen Effects
Season 5 adds 10 screen effects that creators can enable or disable for individual players: Color Correction, Depth of Field, Film Grain, Filmic Effects, Fog, Motion Blur, Tone Mapping, Vignette, White Balance, and Unitology Markers from the Halloween experience.
The new SetScreenEffectParameter action provides 121 additional parameters, allowing creators to fine-tune individual aspects of these effects.
Some settings may affect performance, particularly when many parameters are changed frequently. Creators are encouraged to experiment and use the available performance tools while testing their experiences.
