Steam Free Trial Extended!

Hello, everyone. As many of you noticed yesterday, the Battlefield 6 Free Trial on Steam didn’t work for every player on launch day. The root cause has now been fixed, and it’s great to see so many of you fighting across Area 51 and the Vegas Strip!

So you have plenty of time to dive in, we’re extending the Free Trial until Tuesday, October 20 at 5 PM UTC / 10 AM PDT / 1 PM EDT / 6 PM CEST.* We’re also carrying the 2x XP weekend through Tuesday. That gives you more time to raise your Career Rank, level up your weapons, and work through the Battle Pass tiers.

If you haven’t started playing yet, here’s how to get the Multiplayer files downloading. This applies if you’ve played REDSEC before or ran into problems on day one. If the Multiplayer tiles are missing from your Free Trial on Steam, follow these steps to start the download:

• Close Steam completely and restart it.
• Go to the Battlefield 6 Store Page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2807960/Battlefield_6/
• Click “Play Game.”

This will download the Multiplayer files you need to join matches. You can also check them yourself by opening your game library, right-clicking Battlefield 6, and selecting DLC. From there, you can choose which files Steam downloads.

Thank you for joining us for the Battlefield 6 Free Trial. We’re glad to have you with us. PTFO!
