Battle Tech-Priests of the Mechanicum: Warhammer: The Horus Heresy Team Unveils Myrmidon Destroyers Set
Fans of the tabletop game Warhammer: The Horus Heresy will soon be able to wield arcane, mysterious armaments and once again exalt the Omnissiah, as Games Workshop prepares to release a new kit of Destroyer Myrmidons.
Followers of the Great Crusade, the Horus Heresy, and the Adeptus Mechanicus have reason to rejoice: the creators of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy have revealed a new box containing six plastic Destroyer Myrmidon miniatures.
These are high-ranking tech-priests who treat battle as a means to discern the Omnissiah’s will, and who consider their ruinous volleys to be liturgies. Few adversaries survive long enough to argue the finer points of their machine-worship — these fighters march into conflict to deliver sermons of slaughter.
Each model can be equipped with “Dark Flame” — the Mechanicum’s arcane energy weapon — or with an irradiation engine that drenches enemies and nearby areas in lethal radiation.
For extensive customization, each miniature includes two head options. Additionally, the kit supplies three servo-skulls per trio of Destroyer Myrmidons, allowing these accessories to be exchanged among the figures. Pre-orders for the set are expected to open soon.
Updated rules for the Destroyer Myrmidons will be available in the recently announced tactical supplement “Skitarii — The Steel Hand of Mars”.
