Avatar Aang The Last Airbender Receives New Physical Release

Paramount Plus and Alliance Home Entertainment announced that Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender is coming to physical media. Pre-orders are available now for the DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K Ultra HD editions.

The film arrived on Paramount Plus on July 24, 2026. It earned a 90% critic score and a 99% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. However, the release faced complications when the entire film was uploaded to X this April following a reported hack.

Paramount previously stated the movie would launch exclusively on its streaming service. Many fans hoped the leak would push the company toward a theatrical run, offering viewers an alternative to home viewing. The movie ultimately received an extremely limited run in select theaters. Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender arrives on Blu-ray and DVD on November 3, 2026, followed by the 4K Ultra HD release on February 9, 2027.

Alongside Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender and Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game, Paramount Plus is releasing a new television series next month. Avatar: Seven Havens acts as a sequel to The Legend of Korra and follows Avatar Pavi, a young Earthbender in a post-apocalyptic era. The show premieres on October 9, 2026, with a two-season order of 13 episodes each. Following a lengthy break after The Legend of Korra concluded in 2014, 2026 brings a major revival for the franchise.
