Astroneer Launching on PS5 in November with 4K and DualSense Support
System Era Softworks has announced a PlayStation 5 version of the interplanetary simulator Astroneer, scheduled for release on November 20, 2025. The PS5 update will be offered free of charge to players who already own the PS4 edition.
On PS5 the title will run natively at 4K and 60 frames per second, and it will include support for the DualSense controller.
Astroneer initially entered Early Access on PC via Steam on December 16, 2016, then received a full launch for PC and Xbox One on February 5, 2019, followed by a PS4 release on November 15, 2019, and a Nintendo Switch release on January 13, 2022.
Players explore planetary environments, reshape the terrain, construct bases and vehicles, and endure hazardous conditions within a vast sandbox world. The game supports cooperative play for up to four participants.
