Assetto Corsa Rally has launched in early access, and it’s already apparent the release is off to a promising start. The most immediate impression is the visual quality.
There aren’t many stages yet, but the level of detail sets a very high standard. This was highlighted in a comparison made by the blogger Cycu1, who ran EA’s WRC and Assetto Corsa Rally on a PC equipped with an RTX 5080.
As a result, the new rally title from Supernova Games easily surpasses Codemasters’ offering in visual fidelity. That gap is more pronounced given that WRC’s development has been wound down — EA confirmed there will be no future updates or expansions.
Meanwhile, the game is rapidly accumulating feedback on Steam. More than 1,700 user reviews have been submitted so far, with 85% of players leaving positive ratings.
Beyond the visuals, the physics engine is receiving significant praise. Players note that Assetto Corsa Rally stands out for its realism and could displace rivals within the genre.
The project is currently in early access and includes a limited amount of content: ten starter cars and a handful of tracks. Over the coming months the developers plan to steadily expand the game en route to version 1.0.
