As Escape from Tarkov Struggles, Extraction Shooter ARC Raiders Breaks Records on Steam
Battlestate Games has arrived on a platform already hosting a variety of extraction shooters.
The full version of Escape from Tarkov recently launched on PC via Steam. The well-known hardcore title certainly attracted attention, yet not everyone is eager to jump in.
On Steam the game has faced heavy criticism over technical issues, and over the weekend its peak concurrent player count on Valve’s service reached 47,800.
Meanwhile, another entry in the extraction-shooter genre is continuing to gain traction and set fresh records. ARC Raiders recently hit a new high — surpassing 481,000 players online. Critical response to Embark Studios’ project is listed as “very positive.”
