Arc System Works takes over European publishing rights for Guilty Gear -Strive-

Bandai Namco previously managed the title’s distribution and operations across the region.

On February 25, Arc System Works announced it has finalized an agreement with Bandai Namco Entertainment to transfer the publishing rights for the acclaimed fighting game Guilty Gear -Strive-.

Effective February 26, 2026, publishing authority for the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) and Asian territories will officially shift to Arc System Works. The developer will assume full responsibility for sales, promotional activities, and all regional operations. This transition does not impact the United States, Japan, or South Korea, where Arc System Works already serves as the project’s publisher.

The developer expressed “sincerest gratitude” to Bandai Namco Entertainment for their support of Guilty Gear -Strive- in Europe and Asia, committing to a seamless handover process. It was emphasized that the change in publisher will have no effect on player progress, purchased DLC, or online matchmaking—users can continue their experience using current accounts without any interruption.

Moving forward, all inquiries and support requests related to Guilty Gear -Strive- will be managed directly by Arc System Works. To facilitate this, the company has established dedicated support channels specifically for the EMEA and Asian markets.

Following scheduled maintenance on February 26, the game will be updated to version 1.52. This patch is strictly technical, designed to facilitate the rights transfer, and will not introduce gameplay balance changes. Additionally, producer Ken Miyauchi confirmed that the roadmap for the major 2.00 update is “on track” and will remain unaffected by the publishing transition.
