Analysts Report Surge of The Witcher 3 Fans Playing The Blood of Dawnwalker
The Blood of Dawnwalker has drawn strong interest from fans of The Witcher 3, with 58% of the new action RPG’s players having previously played CD Projekt RED’s hit.
Rebel Wolves released its debut game last week to a confident launch. The project has been linked to The Witcher 3 from the very beginning because the studio is led by Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, the game director of that RPG.
Alinea Analytics examined what else the owners of The Blood of Dawnwalker have been playing on Steam. It turned out that 58% of the new game’s players are also familiar with The Witcher 3. This is the highest figure among the premium games analyzed.
The result is unsurprising, as The Blood of Dawnwalker features a dark fantasy world, RPG systems, dynamic sword combat, and a story that reacts to player choices. At the same time, Rebel Wolves added its own ideas, including time as a resource.

The game has not yet received ratings as high as The Witcher 3, although it has attracted a significant portion of its audience. The studio is considering the creation of a sequel.
