AI Recreates GTA VI Style in Unreal Engine Within an Hour Without Programmers

GPT-6 Astra independently created Unreal Engine projects styled after Minecraft, Counter-Strike, and GTA VI in about an hour using only short text prompts from a user.

YouTube creator Brendan Jowett tested the capabilities of GPT-6 Astra, which costs $100 per month for a subscription. During the demonstration, the AI operated via OpenAI’s Codex installed on a PC, Unreal Engine, and Blender 5.2 LTS.

The model created simple demos in the style of Super Mario Bros. in about 30 minutes, while projects based on Minecraft, Counter-Strike, and GTA 6 took about an hour. The user entered only a few sentences in the prompt and prohibited Astra from using open-source libraries and models.

Projects created in Unreal Engine can then be refined with new AI commands, though the entire experiment barely stayed within the $100 monthly subscription limit.

At the same time, fully polishing such projects still requires at least a basic understanding of Unreal Engine and programming. Comments point out that fixing AI errors and flaws may prove more difficult than writing the initial prompt.
