Actress Sally Kirkland Dies

Oscar‑nominated American actress Sally Kirkland has died at the age of 84, media outlets report.

Kirkland was born in New York in 1941; both of her parents worked in the fashion industry. She trained at the renowned Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, where her classmates included Al Pacino and Robert De Niro.

Some of her most notable credits include Agnieszka Holland’s “Anna”, the film “Afera” opposite Robert Redford, Oliver Stone’s John F. Kennedy: Shots in Dallas, “Bruce Almighty”, “As We Were”, and several others.

She also collaborated with artist Andy Warhol on the documentary project “13 Most Beautiful Women.” Her final screen appearance came in the 2023 sports comedy “80 for Brady.”
