Activision Sends Police to Cheater’s Home in Call of Duty Raid Video

The entrepreneur clearly did not expect such guests.

Call of Duty franchise games enjoy high popularity. Not all online mode fans play fairly, so an extensive market exists for shooter cheats. The situation at a certain point worsened to the extent that some entrepreneurs began selling cheats even before the full release of new installments.

Activision is currently preparing for the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 and is cracking down not only on cheaters, but also on their creators and sellers. A recording of a raid published by the developers recently went viral on social media.

A group of police officers arrived at the home of a cheat creator and distributor to hand him a cease and desist order:

The work of the RICOCHET anti-cheat does not end when a match finishes. Cheat developers operate worldwide. And so do we. We are combating cheat sellers directly. This past weekend, during the closed beta test, we went to Ohio to neutralize Elocarry. And this is far from an isolated incident…

The developers noted that they have sent nearly a hundred similar documents and also shut down operations for more than 375 companies engaged in cheat resale.

The full release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on PC and consoles is expected on October 23, 2026, though those who pre-order the digital edition will be able to get early access to the campaign starting October 16.
