A24’s “The Pressure” Receives Positive Reviews from Early Screenings
Early impressions from critics and influencers regarding the futuristic action-thriller “Onslaught,” produced by A24, have begun to surface online.
The film has earned acclaim for its authentic 1980s aesthetic and high-octane combat sequences. Adria Arjona’s lead performance has received particular praise, though one viewer criticized the movie as “irresponsible” for its unflinching portrayal of violence against civilians.
Set in the near future, “Onslaught” follows the escape of three lethal, highly advanced combat androids from a desert laboratory. To safeguard her daughter, Celeste (Arjona), a single mother and former military sniper, is forced to take drastic action.
Directed by Adam Wingard (“You’re Next,” “Godzilla vs. Kong”), the film features an ensemble cast including Dan Stevens, Rebecca Hall, and Drew Starkey. The film is scheduled for release in Russia on September 17.
