1.5 Million Copies of Arc Raiders Sold on Steam in Three Days — Analysts
According to analytics portal Gamalytic, Embark Studios’ multiplayer extraction shooter Arc Raiders sold more than 1.5 million copies on Steam alone within its first three days, generating nearly $60 million in revenue — not counting sales on PS5 and Xbox Series.
The title attracted attention as early as its open beta, which saw almost 200,000 players online simultaneously, and the full launch has since exceeded that number.
Arc Raiders currently holds the second spot on Steam’s popularity charts behind Battlefield 6, and concurrent player numbers keep rising — yesterday more than 300,000 were online. The game eschews flashy skins and crossover gimmicks, placing its emphasis on solid gameplay.
For the industry this is a significant success: an extraction shooter is selling better than expected in an already crowded genre.
