This is the largest content update for the spy action game since its release.

IO Interactive has released version 1.3.0 for the spy action game 007 First Light. Titled Extended Operations, the update introduces a bundle of free content and new features, including New Game+, a higher difficulty setting, a photo mode, and two new TacSim activities.

The headline addition is New Game+, which becomes available after completing the campaign. In this mode, players can replay the storyline as an experienced agent, while IO Interactive expands the standard formula with several extra features.

New Game+ introduces the Mission Wardrobe feature, allowing players to change James Bond’s outfit directly during gameplay. Through the journal, players can select any available attire and restart the mission from the required checkpoint. In addition, the developers added gadget functionality so players can switch devices mid-mission without waiting for the next chapter. Only devices that Bond has already acquired through the story remain available.

For experienced players, IO Interactive prepared a new maximum difficulty level called 00. After completing the campaign, enemies on this setting will detect Bond faster and deal more damage, while resources will only restore a fraction of gadget charges. As a result, the new mode targets those who want to tackle the game under much stricter limits.

Another notable addition is the photo mode. Players can freeze the action, adjust camera placement, select filters, tweak visual effects, change image settings, and pose Bond to capture their own screenshots.

TacSim content also receives a major expansion. In the Valhalla Protocol activity, players can drive an Aston Martin Valhalla equipped with machine guns and rocket launchers. The drive takes place across the landscapes of Slovakia, where the main goal is to demonstrate driving skills and achieve the highest possible score.

The second new activity is Jungle Heist. It returns players to The Pearl hotel in Vietnam, where Bond must infiltrate a villa and retrieve confidential documents from a safe. Each run of the operation differs from the last, forcing the agent to adapt to changing circumstances.

TacSim also gains two new weapons and three outfits: Observant Spy, Leisure Beam, and First Class. Furthermore, a new character takes up residence in the MI6 headquarters—a bulldog named Jack, whom players can pet.

IO Interactive added a new reward for linking the game to an IOI account: the Grey Standard outfit. Players can claim it by connecting the game to their account before November 1. Additionally, a Twitch Drops campaign runs from October 1 to October 16, allowing players to secure the One More item.

Finally, the update refines the combat mechanics in 007 First Light. The developers reworked weapon handling animations so that reloading, aiming transitions, weapon switching, and throwing look smoother and feel more responsive. In addition, Bond can now be shoved off cliff edges, just like his enemies.
