Henry Cavill Becomes a Video Game Developer

An actor and gamer is taking on a new endeavor.

Henry Cavill is now known for more than just acting, producing, and passionate gaming. Google recently announced a partnership with Cavill, who is using Googlebook to develop his own video game.

A blog post dedicated to the partnership explained that to demonstrate the capabilities of Googlebook, they needed someone who “understands how great technology can unlock creative potential and bring ideas to life.”

That partner is actor, producer, and tech enthusiast Henry Cavill, who will be “putting Googlebook through its paces”:

Now, he is using Googlebook to bring his personal projects to life.

The blog post shared a comment from Henry Cavill himself. According to the actor, he was very intrigued when the Google team contacted him and told him about Googlebook and its integrated tools:

Having worked with the device and spoken with the team, I can say that this has the potential to be the start of something special. Time and technology are moving forward at a dizzying speed, and there is a next-generation feel to this and everything Google is trying to do with it.

Henry Cavill’s first video game is expected to launch in November 2026. No details about the project have been revealed yet.
