Zvyagintsev’s “Minotaur” Gets a US Release Date

The streaming platform MUBI has officially announced the US theatrical release date for Andrey Zvyagintsev’s latest feature, “Minotaur.”

The drama is set to premiere on November 20. The film, which claimed the Grand Prix at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, follows the life of a high-level corporate executive (Dmitry Mazurov) navigating a profound personal and professional crisis, compounded by the discovery of his wife’s (Iris Lebedeva) infidelity.

“Minotaur” serves as a reimagining of Claude Chabrol’s “La Femme infidèle.” The film currently maintains a perfect 100% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

MUBI has also confirmed release windows for other Cannes acquisitions: Paweł Pawlikowski’s monochrome drama “Fatherland” is slated for an October 23 debut, followed by Lukas Dhont’s war-themed romance “Coward” on December 25.
