The dramedy Yura Was Here, headlined by the acclaimed Konstantin Khabensky, has officially premiered on Russian streaming services.
Marking the directorial debut of Sergey Malkin, the film follows a trio of young musicians who find themselves tasked with looking after an uncle named Yura, a man living with mental health challenges. Over the course of a few days, what begins as a daunting obligation gradually blossoms into a profound journey of camaraderie and personal growth.
The ensemble cast also features Kuzma Kotrelev, Denis Paramonov, and Alexander Porshin. Notably, the production secured the prestigious Grand Prix at the “Mayak” Festival of Contemporary Russian Cinema.
